I have had the pleasure of being based in the North East of England for the past 33 years. My good fortune to be immersed in the outstanding panoramas and magnificence of this region of Britain is providing me with an invaluable treasure trove of painting and artistic stimulation for my recent work. The rugged moorland landscapes and seascapes of the region, bathed in the unique and ever changing northern light throughout the seasons have dominated the centre of my creative output recently. My most recent inspiration for several new collections of paintings has come from walking several long distance footpaths and from spending time walking in the Durham Dales and Weardale.
